Prairie Hill Community Trail @ Town of Grand Chute
2901 N Abendroth St, Appleton, WI 54914

Skill level: novice

Total Distance: 1.2 miles

Park hours are sunrise to 11:00 pm. Best access to the trail is achieved by parking near the south end of the parking lot (first parking spaces when driving in to the main entrance). From here you can access the trail head (to the left/south of the lot) and the pavilion, which has bathrooms.

The bike trail traverses with two-way traffic around the back side of the sledding hill and meets up with a loop built on the berm that borders the highway. We recommend riding the loop in a clockwise direction. The trail winds its way down and back the berm, crossing over with some switchback turns a couple of times to add length. This is a great place to get a ride if you only have a short amount of time available or if you’re new to mountain biking and looking to experience riding on dirt but don’t want to drive far from Appleton!

This trail was made possible through partnership with the Town of Grand Chute and generous grant from the Woodward Communications Foundation and donation from Wheel & Sprocket Appleton.
