The Sun Run Trail at Calumet county park is one of our newest and most ambitious projects.

Calumet County Park is located on Lake Winnebago and is accessed from county road EE, off of highway 55 between Sherwood and Stockbridge. The Summer Trailhead is at the end of the upper park road, near campsite 72. Winter Trailhead is the eastern part of the Fishtail Bar and Grill’s parking lot.

Trail Conditions

Trail description

Sun Run trail at Calumet County Park is a 2.2 mile long relatively flat, low difficulty, multi-use singletrack trail. It is mostly a beginner trial, however the segment nearest the ledge has more rocks to navigate, and is more of an intermediate segment.  It was built in 2019 and is the first of several phases of a project to restore 5+ miles of singletrack trails at Calumet County Park. The name “Sun Run” is a tribute to the WORS race that was held at this park several years ago.
