“I don’t know what it is about Wisconsin,” said two-time Subaru Cup Champion Georgia Gould of the 2008 US Olympic Mountain Bike team. “It was the best crowd. On the climbs, on the downhills – everywhere. It’s such a pleasure to race in front of people who are into it. And I’ll tell you what, the whole course is World Cup caliber. I think this might be my favorite course anywhere.”

WORS RETURNS!

WORS and the Waushara Area Mountain Bike Association (WAMBA), in cooperation with Northeast Wisconsin Trails, present the Mount Morris Challenge at the Nordic Mountain ski area on August 1, 2021.

REGISTER!!

The trail work at Nordic Mountain began in the spring of 2006 with shovels and rakes and resulted in the construction of a 5 mile loop. As the trails developed further, the site hosted regional championships and multiple national Pro XCT events. With annual trail expansion, course designers can now tailor course design to each WORS category providing challenge and fun for all.

WAMBA was established in 2011 to build and maintain trails in and around Waushara County. Recently, WAMBA proudly joined as a trail committee of Northeast Wisconsin Trails, the regional IMBA chapter for all of northeast WI. The trails at Nordic Mountain make up one of the largest and most diverse trail systems near the Fox Valley and WAMBA encourages the use of the trails free of charge all season long.
